ISABELLA RAGONESE
Isabella Ragonese is one of the best-known Italian actresses in show business. In 1998 she won her first prize at INDA (National Institute for Ancient Drama), with a short essay on the figure of Hecuba. She graduated in 2000 with a diploma in acting from the historic Teates Theater School in Palermo. The actress has acted in various successful films and TV series. She took part in Rai TV dramas such as “Il commissario Montalbano”, “La guerra è finite” and “Rocco Schiavone”. The first film in which she acted in was Nuovomondo by Emanuele Crialese in 2006. Later, she took part in the independent film Detesto l'elettronica stop and was the protagonist in Tutta la vita davanti by Paolo Virzì. She also appeared, then, in Viola di Mare, Il cosmo sul Comò, Due vite per caso, Oggi sposi, and La nostra vita for which she won the Nastro d'Argento as best supporting actress. Throughout her career, she has been nominated for a David di Donatello as best leading actress and won a Shooting Stars Award.
