VASSILIKI RAPTI
Vassiliki Rapti holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature with an emphasis in drama, an MA in English, an MA in Greek Studies, an MA in Cívic Media and Arts, a Certifícate in Curatorial Studies and a Certifícate in Proofreading. Her research interests center around Hellenic Studies, world literature, civic media, gender and women's studies, classical reception, innovative and creative L2 pedagogies and ludic theory across disciplines. With 15 years of experience in teaching excellence in three languages in higher education (Greek, French and English), as well as in publishing, editing, literary translation, mentoring and academic administration, she has taught at Harvard University a wide range of interdisciplinary courses and led successful academic initiatives such as the co-founding of the Ludics Seminar, Mahindra Humanities Center, which she still runs today as its co-Chair and the founding director of the Advanced Training in Greek Poetry Translation and Performance Workshop that mentors aspiring translators, poets and artists. In addition to the above, she is passionate about poetry and literary translation and she coaches creative writing and translation workshops that bring Greek poetry to the international public. Vassiliki Rapti is the editor of Emerson College’s “The Journal of Civic Media” and Founding Director of Citizen TALES Commons. Transitorium (Somerset Hall Press, 2015) και, πιο πρόσφατα, της ποιητικής συλλογής Η λεπταίσθητη Λαίδη μου (Μελάνι, 2021). Ποιήματα και μεταφράσεις της έχουν δημοσιευτεί σε διάφορα διεθνή περιοδικά και έχουν λάβει διάφορες διακρίσεις, ενώ είναι και μέλος της συντονιστικής επιτροπής του διεθνούς περιοδικού Taos. Παράλληλα, συνεχίζει την έρευνά της ως ιδρύτρια και συνδιευθύντρια του ερευνητικού σεμιναρίου Ludics (Ποιητική του Παιχνιδιού) του Κέντρου Ανθρωπιστικών Σπουδών Mahindra του Πανεπιστημίου Harvard, ως εκδότρια του περιοδικού The Journal of Civic Media του Κολλεγίου Έμερσον (Emerson College) και ως ιδρύτρια/επιμελήτρια εκθέσεων και δημοσιεύσεων της καινοτόμου διεπιστημονικής ερευνητικής ομάδας Citizen TALES Commons (Translators – Artists- Ludics Learners-Explorers-Storytellers).
