VOYAGE A QUATRE CORDES

BRING YOUR CHAIR - COZY FESTIVAL is organizing its first ever event in Serifos, inaugurating its collaboration with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the "MOYSA" (Megaro Youth Symphony Orchestra). An octet coming from MOYSA will present “Voyage à quatre cordes”; a musical concert directed by Thanos Stamoulis. This specially curated program for violin, viola and cello will include familiar sounds from melodies by Manos Hadjidakis, Astor Piazzolla, and Ennio Morricone, as well as Greek traditional dances.

THANOS STAMOULIS

Thanos Stamoulis was born in Thessaloniki in 2001 and grew up in Rethymno, Crete. He took his first musical steps at the Music School of Rethymno (2013-14) while beginning his trumpet studies at the Municipal Philharmonic of Rethymno (2015). He has attended trumpet seminars with S. Anthi, P. Kaisari, P. Balamo, I. Karambetsos, and Vincenzo Camaglia. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Symphonic Orchestra of Youth of Crete, under the direction of Miltos Logiadis. In 2019, he entered the Department of Music Science and Art at the University of Macedonia, specializing in trumpet. Additionally, he is a trumpet student at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki (class of G. Laskaridis), holding a Harmony Degree (from N.C.T.), a member of the Symphonic Orchestra of Youth of the Megaron Thessaloniki (MOYSA), and the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Macedonia. In 2020, he enrolled in the orchestral conducting specialization at Symphony Orchestra of the University of Macedonia under the guidance of Professor George Vranos.
