Petrichor
Trumpeter and composer Andreas Polyzogopoulos presents his fifth personal work, «Petrichor», a contemplative, airy, and deeply spiritual album. «Petrichor», as the title in Greek suggests, is the characteristic smell that emerges from the ground when raindrops fall on it, often evoking feelings of nostalgia, marking the onset of autumn or spring. Alongside the composer, Kostas Konstantinou on double bass and Wajdi Riahi on piano contribute to creating a warm sound. Performing without a drummer, the trio manages to maintain a steady and dynamic rhythmic sense.

Note from Erik Truffaz:
«Your music honors silence and creates dreams. The way you play the trumpet is so sensitive that it elevates this sometimes ungrateful instrument. You have a warm, velvety sound, even when you use the mute... Your companions are also exceptional. They have an incredible rhythm and equally contribute to this dream that the three of you are designing.»
