TIME: 21.00 / PERCEUS MUSEUM COURTYARD

Groovin’ In The Museum

He has been called the «Jimi Hendrix» of the Greek jazz scene when he mesmerizes audiences with his Hammond Organ. He is known as «the teacher» when he imparts his knowledge to younger generations, whether teaching at the Ionian University, the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, or in seminars around the world. George Kontrafouris is a keyboard virtuoso and is considered one of the greatest musicians of the Greek jazz, constantly seeking new pathways. In his live performances, he mentally engages with his devoted audience, drawing inspiration from them, which he magically transforms into creation to give back to them. Joining him are two outstanding young young musicians: Eric-Julius Panagopoulos on guitar and Jason Wastor on drums.
